Dark gelcoats and paint colors often pose a particular challenge, as they are more sensitive to polishing marks. Gelcoat Heavy Cut "Gh8.01" masters this challenge with flying colors. Even in the first polishing step, it achieves a uniform, deep glossy finish that restores the original color intensity. For an even finer result, a fine polish such as Gelcoat Fine Cut "Gf6.01" or Gelcoat Micro Cut "Gm3.01" can be used afterwards.

User-Friendly Application for Professional Results

The application of Gelcoat Heavy Cut "Gh8.01" is possible with both rotary and eccentric polishing machines. For optimal results, it is recommended to apply five pea-sized drops to a suitable polishing pad (e.g., Heavy Cut Pad, Lambswool Pad short, or Twisted Wool Pad) and distribute the product evenly in a cross-hatch pattern at low speed. Then, polish with a rotary machine at a maximum of 1000 rpm or with an eccentric machine at the highest setting. Polish residues can be easily removed with a microfiber cloth. For final protection and long-lasting sealing, products such as Gelcoat Finish "Gp1.01", Marine Protective Sealant, or Ceramic Boat Hull are suitable.
