Initial state: Wash and dry the vehicle thoroughly. No old wax film, no water spots on the paint. The cleaner and drier the initial surface, the more effectively the Pre-Wax Prep works.

Application: Apply a coin-sized amount to a foam applicator pad. Work it in with circular motions on an area of approx. 60 × 60 cm — for this product, circular motion is deliberately recommended, as the micro-polish evenly processes the surface regardless of direction.

Dwell time: Wipe off immediately after spreading with a clean microfiber cloth. No long dwell time is necessary — the prep effect is created by mechanical processing during application, not by chemical dwell time.

Control: The cloth should be slightly gray or slightly creamy after wiping — these are the removed micro-residues and polishing agent residues. A clear indication that the prep has worked. If the cloth is white with no residues, the paint was already very clean.

Subsequent step: Apply the wax or sealant immediately afterwards, while the SiO2 primer is still active. Wait a maximum of 30 minutes between Pre-Wax Prep and sealant application.

Pre-Wax Prep in seasonal detailing — when and how often?
