COLOURLOCK "Leather Fresh" (Audi) — Audi Leather Care Colour

COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh for Audi: a care colour cream for a factory-true refresh

What is COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh for Audi? — This water-based leather care colour brings care and a light colour refresh together — perfect for daily-driven Audi leather interiors, with no fiddly prep.

COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh (Audi) is a pigmented leather care colour that nourishes and evens out light colour loss in one pass. It's built on original Audi colour references, so it blends cleanly into what's already on the seat. Perfect for keeping pigmented smooth leather in shape without the hassle of a full repair.

Care & colour in one – Saves you a step — cares and refreshes at the same time.
Original Audi shades – Factory-matched references for seamless transitions.
Fast and fuss-free – No sanding, no top coat needed as a rule.

💡 Day-to-day from Detailing1: We reach for Leather Fresh as our standard care on every interior job — even when the leather still looks fine. 100 ml covers a full pair of seats plus the steering wheel. Wet a microfibre pad evenly, work it in with circular motions, then buff back with a second pad. Five minutes later it looks like it just rolled off the line.

A care routine in 15 minutes per pair of seats

Leather Fresh (Audi) goes on as a care routine every 6–12 months — work it in with a microfibre pad, buff back with a second pad, done. One pass takes about 15–20 min per pair of seats.

Before you start, wash the leather with a leather cleaner and wipe it over damp. Once it's had a moment to dry off, wet a microfibre pad with about 3–5 ml of Leather Fresh (Audi) and work it evenly into the leather in circular motions. Buff back straight away with a second dry microfibre pad until that typical matt, velvety OEM sheen comes up.

The water-based care colour sinks into the top pigment layer and seals the fibre at the same time. Unlike the pro Leather Colour (Audi) repair, you don't strictly need filler, sanding or a top coat. On hard-worn spots like seat bolsters or the steering wheel you can lay down a top coat as well — that pushes the durability out to 18–24 months. A 100 ml bottle is good for about 2–3 full care passes.

Care yes, repairing deep damage no

Leather Fresh (Audi) is the care option for light cosmetic wear — faded sheen, dull patches, surface colour loss. Deep abrasion or cracks call for the repair grade.

The care colour is built to soak into an intact pigment layer and freshen it up. But once that layer is rubbed through, or there are cracks, Leather Fresh can't hide the damage — the bare fibre shows and takes the colour unevenly. Suede, velour and Alcantara get looked after with Nubuk Fresh (Audi), since their rough fibre structure needs a different carrier.

If the leather has only faded or gone dull, Leather Fresh is the fastest and cheapest fix — about 4–5 euros per care pass. If there's deep abrasion or cracking, though, that's where Leather Colour (Audi) comes in with filler and top coat. Both products sit on the same original Audi colour references and can be combined.

For regular care without workshop kit

Leather Fresh (Audi) is the care answer for private owners, high-mileage drivers and leaseholders who want to keep their Audi leather fresh — with no sanding, filler or specialist kit.

Because it's such an easy 15-minute job per pair of seats, Leather Fresh slots in as the standard care on every interior detail. Give your Audi a full pass two or three times a year and the leather stays looking like new for good, heading off the usual wear marks on bolsters and steering wheel. A 1-litre bottle is good for about 30–50 full care passes on a mid-size car.

For badly worn seats with visible abrasion, or a full pre-sale detail, you reach for Leather Colour (Audi) or the Leather Care Set (Audi) with all the bits. But if you want to keep on top of care rather than restore, the 100 ml bottle or the 1-litre size of Leather Fresh has you covered.

What is COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh for Audi?

COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh (Audi) is a pigmented leather care dye in original Audi shades. It nourishes the leather, refreshes minor color loss, and seals the fibers — all in one step.

How often should I apply Leather Fresh?

As a care routine, we recommend Leather Fresh (Audi) every 6–12 months. For heavily used vehicles (frequent drivers, lease returns), every 3–6 months. One application takes approx. 15–20 minutes per pair of seats.

What is the difference to Leather Colour?

Leather Fresh is the simple care variant — no sanding, no top coat strictly necessary. Leather Colour (Audi) is the professional repair with filler, sanding, and top coat sealing. For visible damage → Leather Colour; for dull/slightly faded surfaces → Leather Fresh.

Do I absolutely need a top coat?

No, not strictly. Leather Fresh has its own sealing function. However, for heavily used areas (seat bolsters, steering wheel), an additional Top Coat Dull or Glossy is worthwhile for maximum abrasion resistance.

What are the most common mistakes we see?

Two classics: (1) Leather not cleaned beforehand — care absorbs unevenly. (2) Too thick a layer applied — feels sticky and remains greasy. Better 2 thin layers than 1 thick one.

Does Leather Fresh also work on natural leather?

No, Leather Fresh is exclusively suitable for pigmented smooth leather (standard in the automotive sector). For natural leather, aniline leather or suede, there are separate COLOURLOCK product lines.

Care instructions for leather dye (Audi):

Leather Fresh (Audi) is the care variant for minor cosmetic flaws — faded shine, dull spots, superficial color loss. Deeper abrasion or tears require the repair stage.

The dye is formulated to penetrate the intact pigment layer and refresh it. However, if the layer is worn through or there are cracks, Leather Fresh cannot cover the damaged area — the fiber becomes visible and absorbs the color unevenly. Suede, nubuck leather, and Alcantara are cared for with Nubuk Fresh (Audi), as their rough fiber structure requires a different carrier solution.

If the leather only appears faded or dull, Leather Fresh is the quickest and most affordable solution — about 4–5 Euros per application. If, on the other hand, there are deep abrasion marks or cracks, Leather Colour (Audi) with filler and top coat is used. Both products are based on the same original Audi color samples and can be combined.
