What is GYEON Q²M Polish Polishing Pad? GYEON Q²M Polish Polishing Pad is a soft to medium polishing pad for rotary and eccentric machines – developed for fine correction and gloss optimization with Q²M Polish, between the correction step and the final finishing.

The Q²M Polish Polishing Pad holds the position between correction and finishing in the GYEON polishing system – it is softer than the Cut Pad, but still a bit more intense than the Finish Pad. The ideal combination with Q²M Polish results in a polishing step that provides fine correction (light compound holograms) and high gloss development simultaneously.

• Soft to medium foam cell design for fine correction and gloss. The Q²M Polish Pad is harder than a pure finishing pad, but softer than a correction pad – just the right hardness for the fine correction phase, in which subtle compound holograms are eliminated and maximum gloss is developed simultaneously.
• Optimized for Q²M Polish – perfect compound delivery. The foam cell structure of the Polish Pad is matched to the fineness of the Q²M Polish abrasive particles: Uniform absorption and delivery of the fine polish for a consistent, streak-free result across the entire panel surface.
• Suitable for rotary and eccentric machines. The Q²M Polish Pad can be used on both machine types – on the eccentric for safe, forgiving finishing, on the rotary at low speed for intensive gloss development on large areas.

Practical tip from Detailing1: Use the Q²M Polish Pad best at medium machine speed (eccentric level 5–6, rotary 1000–1200 rpm). Perform the last polishing pass on each panel slowly and overlapping – this prevents streaks. After the polishing step, check the result under halogen light or LED work lamp: Fine holograms are harder to detect under direct sunlight than under artificial angled light.

In the three-step polish, the Polish Pad takes the middle position: Heavy-Cut Pad + Q²M Compound+ for severe defects → Q²M Polish Pad + Q²M Polish for fine correction and initial gloss development → Finish Pad + Q²M Polish for absolute finalization. The Polish Pad reduces the Compound+ holograms and already takes over the largest part of the gloss development – the final finish step is then only a short, but important fine-tuning.

Q²M Polish Pad for one-step polishing

On vehicles with light to medium defect levels, the Polish Pad + Q²M Polish can be used as the sole polishing product in a one-step polish. The Polish Pad has enough corrective power for fine swirls and wash scratches and at the same time enough softness for a high degree of gloss without holograms. This combination is ideal for annual refresh polishes on well-maintained vehicles – no compound needed, minimal paint removal, optimal results.

Pad care and durability

The Q²M Polish Pad is a durable tool with proper care. After each polishing unit, clean it with a pad washing brush under running water. The finer foam structure of the Polish Pad (softer than Heavy-Cut or Cut) is more sensitive to excessive stress – when using the machine heavily, switch to harder pads to protect the Polish Pad. Dry flat, do not store compressed.
