The GYEON Q²M Heavy Cut polishing pad is the most aggressive foam pad in the GYEON polishing line-up – a hard cell structure that pulls every bit of cut out of the compound and still delivers on hard paint or extreme defects.

The Heavy Cut pad puts maximum pressure into the surface and breaks the abrasives down fully – the highest correction power you get out of a foam pad.

Day-to-day from Detailing1: Always start the Q²M Heavy Cut pad with a test spot somewhere out of sight – especially on soft paint (a lot of imports). Push the Heavy Cut pad too hard and you take off more clear than you meant to. Run speed 6–8 on the DA, 1000–1500 rpm on the rotary. After the correction step with Q²M Compound+ you finish with Q²M Polish and a soft pad, no shortcuts.

Looking after the Heavy Cut pad

The Q²M Heavy Cut pad is a tough bit of kit that survives plenty of jobs if you look after it. After every polishing session, clean it with a pad brush under running water and rinse every last bit of compound out. Let it dry lying flat. Heavy cut pads normally last longer than softer ones, because the firmer structure doesn't collapse as fast. Still: the moment the pad stops cutting evenly or starts lifting off the backing, replace it.
